Taohua River (Peach Blossom River), narrow and circuitous, is the most famous tributary of the Li River.

Overview

Taohua River, also known as Yangjiang River in ancient times, originates in Lingchuan County, northwest Guilin City and flows southeast ward into Li River. It is famous for thousands of peach trees planted along the 25-kilometer banks. The river crosses China’s largest limestone area, so that the water is always clean. In addition, the gently river has made itself a perfect place to boat since it was discovered. Every Dragon Boat Festival, people held activities on the river. Tens of thousands of trees and other man-made objects along the river decorate the river into graceful and beautiful scenery.
