Guangzhou Customs Stationed at    China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair    for the First Time

The 4th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair and China-Japan Small and Medium Enterprises Fair was held in Pazhou Exhibition Hall of Guangzhou from September 15 to 18. Guangzhou Customs stationed officers at the fair to answer questions about customs business and to carry out control and supervision over the overseas exhibits joining in the fair.

The fair was hosted by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, State Administration For Industry & Commerce, China Banking Regulatory Commission and People s Government of Guangdong Province with the theme To increase understanding, strengthen cooperation, enlarge communication and seek common development .

The fair covered an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters and there were 6000 booths of the fair, including 4200 domestic booths and 1800 overseas booths, among which there were 1000 Japanese booths of 482 exhibitors exhibiting foodstuffs, crafts and machinery and electrical appliances.

In order to help the exhibiters to arrange their booths in good season, customs officers carried out centralized transaction of such customs formalities as declaration, inspection and release on the scene. At the same time, forms of customs business were sent to both domestic and foreign merchants as well as questions about declaration, intellectual property rights and so forth were being solved on the scene.
