The Area of International Pavilion of the Canton Fair Doubled and High-Quality Services Provided by Customs Were Praised

We attend the Canton Fair for the first time, and it is a superexcellent opportunity to bring forth our products. Everything goes well. We are very satisfied with the services provided by China Customs. Costarica, one of the Central American Country, which established diplomatic relations with China in June this year, attended China Import and Export Fair for the first time.

Mario Arroyo one member of The Costarica External Trade Corporation introduced that they had organized 25 companies to the fair and more than 70 kinds of products were on the exhibition and he hoped that consumers in China could know more about the best coffee in the world made in Costarica and enjoy it.

The 102nd session of China Import and Export Fair was held simultaneously in Pazhou International Exhibition Center and Liuhua Exhibition Hall on October 15. This fair covered an exhibition area of 635,000 square meters, 15,000 square meters among which was the International Pavilion, twice of that of the last fair, which was set in Pazhou International Exhibition Center.

There were 480 overseas enterprises from 57 countries and regions attending the fair and the exhibits include 9 kinds as follows: Machinery and Equipment; Raw Materials; Small Vehicles and Spare Parts; Electronics, IT Products and Household Electrical Appliances; Hardware and Tools; Building Materials and Kitchen and Sanitary Equipment; Decorations and Gifts; Consumer Goods; Foodstuffs and Agricultural Products.

Four vehicles from General Motor Corporation including HUMMER and BUICK were noticeable in the International Pavilion. These vehicles were declared for import at Xinfeng Office of Guangzhou Customs on October 12 and this was the first time that Xinfeng Office transacted the procedures for temporary import of vehicles.

In order to make these vehicles exhibit at the Canton Fair on time, customs officers spared no effort to deal with the relevant procedures for the enterprise and gained the favorable comment from the enterprise.

It is reported that Guangzhou Customs has carried out several measures to provide high-quality services for the fair. First, set up Channel for Guests Attending the Canton Fair in the area of passenger inspection of the port customs to provide convenient customs clearance for the passengers attending the fair; second, set up temporary warehouse under customs control for the overseas exhibitors to keep the exhibits; third, customs officers dealt with such customs procedures as declaration, inspection, release for the overseas exhibits in the fair; fourth, set up a working group for service consultation respectively in Liuhua Complex and Pazhou Complex and especially sent officers to the International Pavilion to provide service consultation.

At the same time, Guangzhou Customs set up online service consultation at the fair and sent the handbooks, such as Customs Protection of Intellectual Property Rights and Guide to Customs Clearance in both Chinese and English Versions to the guests attending the Canton Fair.
