On 28 Jan. 2011, Niu Dun, Vice Minister of Agriculture, met with Cesar Mayoral,Argentine Ambassador to China, who will leave his post soon. Vice Minister Niu commended Ambassador Mayoral for his contribution to promoting China-Argentina agricultural cooperation during his term and expressed the hope that both sides could continue to work hard to push forward the development of the bilateral agricultural trade in a more balanced way. He also asked the ambassador to continue to support the agricultural cooperation between the two countries and especially help to find an appropriate solution to the compensation issue related to the withdrawal of the Chinese fishing vessels from Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) as soon as possible.
