Lebanese designer Jack Guisso will present his latest collection of romantic feminine creations at Couture Fashion Week at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday September 12, 2010. The fashion show will be held in the renowned Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria on Park Avenue, New York City.

After earning a degree in business in his native Beirut, Jack Guisso went on to follow in his father's footsteps as a couture fashion designer. Along with his three brothers Mr. Guisso opened his first atelier in 1975 and the fashions were sold under the "Les Amis" label at their own boutique as well as at eleven other stores throughout Lebanon. In 1996 Mr. Guisso launched his own haute couture line under the "Sarafia" label. His breathtaking and feminine evening gowns of the finest fabrics, hand embroidery and meticulous craftsmanship soon became favorites of Middle Eastern celebrities and socialites. He has since shown his collections on runways from Paris and Spain to Italy and the USA. By 2002 the brand was ready to expand and the designs are now carried by stores in London, Paris, Milan, Dubai, Riyadh, Cairo, Amman and New York, among other cities. Evening and bridal gowns, dresses and accessories are created at the plush Guisso Tower in Sin El Fil, Beirut, by a skilled team of over 150.

Typical of the designer's exquisite designs, Mr. Guisso' s recent Spring/Summer 2010 “Zahrat Al-Beylasane” collection radiated with the essence and hope of the season evoking a garden of aromatic flowers or the notes of a melody celebrating beauty. The romantic and rather bohemian collection reflected the harmony the designer sees in the elderflower (the “beylasane”). Recalling old European legends linked to the magical powers of the elderflower, the collection highlighted the unique charm of various cultures, expressing each through technicolor flowers. Finely crafted designs were made of the most luxurious fabrics including chiffon, lace, organza and guipure in shades of pink, blue, yellow, black and white, many embellished with handsewn blossoms and Swarovki crystal embroidery. A series of fairy-tale wedding gowns rounded out the inspired collection.

"We are delighted Mr. Guisso will be showing his latest collection at Couture Fashion Week in New York," says event producer Andres Aquino. "His talent and skill in the field of couture are well-known in many parts of the world, and we are looking forward to a dazzling runway show from him."
