China: Sinopec Maoming Petchem plans to reduce daily crude throughput by 3% in Nov

Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical is slated to refine 1.05-mil mt of crude in November, with daily throughput down 3% compared with the previous month, according to a refinery source.


The refinery would successively wrap up maintenance of some units from late November, the source revealed.


As reported earlier, Maoming Petrochemical shut down several units for 40-day maintenance in mid-October, mainly comprising 2.5-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit, 1-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker and 1-mil-mt/yr delayed coker.
Maoming Petrochemical, located in Maoming City of South China's Guangdong Province, owns a crude refining capacity of 13.5-mil mt per year. It mainly refines high-sulfur crude form Middle East and supplies its oil products to South and Southwest China.
