XCMG 1000-tonnage Products Sweep across the Bauma China 2010

On the morning of Nov 23rd, the Fifth International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Construction Vehicles and Equipments (hereinafter called as Bauma China 2010), which was regarded as "the first Asian exhibition of construction machinery", opened outside Shanghai New International Expo Centre, where enterprises such as XCMG and Liebherr had arrayed their products: tower cranes, crawler cranes, mobile cranes.
On this grand fair the most attractive to media and visitors was nothing but the appearance of 1000-tonnage cranes. The 1000-tonnage combination of XCMG was especially eye-catching.
The domestic market of large-scale cranes was monopolized by international giants of construction machinery in the past, but now, the appearance of domestic products was really heartening. As a domestically leading enterprise of this industry, XCMG arrayed a combination of 1000-tonnage and 2000-tonnage crawler cranes, 800-tonnage and 1200-tonnage all-terrain cranes to challenge those international giants on behalf of Chinese construction machinery industry.
1000-tonnage cranes are extreme large in size, even professionals seldom see them, not to mention laymen. There are few countries and enterprises in the world that are able to produce 1000-tonnage cranes or above. Only dozens of large cranes in this size are spread over the global construction sites.
The presentation of four 1000-tonnage cranes once at the trade fair firmly relies on XCMG's 8-year accumulation of large-tonnage crane technology. Since the first all-terrain crane was produced in 2002, XCMG has led the development direction of the industry by paving way for the upsizing of the crane industry. "We have spent 8 years to cover the distance our international counterparts have spent 50 years to walk. We hope to accelerate progress with more internationally advanced technology." said Mr. Sun Jianzhong, who is vice president of XCMG machinery and general manager of heavy machinery company. It is reported that as 1000-tonnage all-terrain cranes rolled off the production line, XCMG has developed a unique product family that covers 5 categories of 400-tonnage products, indicating a full grasp of the core technology of large-tonnage cranes.
During the process of overcoming technical difficulties of large-tonnage crane, XCMG has kept to pursue a new level of crane technology. In July, 2010, XCMG Heavy Machinery launched the project of "boundary limits". Focusing on "safety, energy-saving, performance, maintenance and returns", it set a series of technical indicators to couple with international advanced level, and correspondingly launched the new-generation cranes in three series. Observers said that such a move XCMG Heavy Machinery took was not merely to surpass the increasingly fierce homogeneous competition but also to set a limit for itself in a bid to challenge "world quality" and rank itself first worldwide with its acquired technical strengths.
