On Tuesday, the contract of supply of 2 diesel locomotives for Angola was signed in Shanghai. The manufacturer is CNR Beijing February 7th Locomotive Works. This is another contract after the contract of 6 locomotive for Angola in last September.
The rated power of locomotive is 1,500kW. The locomotive will be used as not only shunter in construction site but also main force on main line. They adopt electric transmission. The track gauge is 1,067mm . The design speed is 90km/h. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2006.
In last three years, great achievements have been made in export by CNR Beijing February 7th Locomotive Works who rely on itself innovation capabilities. Its locomotives are warmly welcomed in Vietnam, Congo, Cuba, etc.
