---Kids in rural area to experience Joys of Olympic Games

On April 27 morning, the starting ceremony of Come on! 2008 Hope Project Happy Sports Action in Shandong and donation activity of Shandong Gree Sales Company to Hope Project was held in Jinan Quancheng Square. Li Zhaoqian, vice-governor of Shandong Province, Wang Lei, Committee Secretary of Shandong Province and President of Shandong Youth Development Foundation, Duan Xiufeng, chairman of Shandong Sales Company and Kong Weidong, General Manager of the company all attended the event.

Shandong Sales Company has donated 5.25 million Yuan (about 753,000 USD) to Shandong Youth Development Foundation on the site, which is the largest amount given by private companies since the execution of Hope Project in Shandong. Wang Lei also granted the Gree Fund plague of hope project to Duan Xiufeng.

Shandong Sales Company claimed that it would start with this donation, and continue to support the education cause of needy rural area of Shandong Province in a long term. Apart from financing Come on! 2008 Hope Project Happy Sports Action , it would also assist in building up 17 hope primary schools within the province and join the dream fulfillment Action to help 125 needy high school graduates to enter into university. Meanwhile, there are 100 Gree sales terminals setting up donation boxes to raise money from all the customers.

In his speech, Wang Lei gave high praise to the outstanding contribution on Hope Project made by Shandong Sales Company and its great social responsibility.

Come on! 2008 Hope Project Happy Sports Action is supposed to spread and promote Olympic spirit into hope primary schools and among students in rural areas. Along with the Olympic Games, the Action plans to further promote the rural sports development, forming a nice environment of all people taking part in sports activities. It aims to collect money in a social range, trying to provide primary schools with basic sports facilities, building up Happy Sports Land , helping the schools with Happy Sports Meeting , as well as enriching the sports activities of kids in rural area.
