GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt Visits Headquarters of CSR Stresses Enhancing Strategic Cooperation with CSR

On May 30, the six-person group led by GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt visited headquarter of China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation LimitedCSR. CSR Chairman Zhao Xiaogang, President Zheng Changhong, Vice President Tang Kelin, Chief Engineer Zhang Xinning, Secretary of Board of Directors Shao Renqiang and principals of related departments at the headquarters met with Jeff Immelt and his entourage.

During the meeting, Zhao Xiaogang introduced the current development situation of the Chinese railway as well as the reform and development of CSR. Jeff Immelt expressed his high appreciation for the rapid development and development strategy of CSR, and the willingness of GE to further enhance the cooperation with CSR in a much broader range of fields and become a long-term strategic partner of CSR.

Both sides exchanged their views on the current development trend and market situations of the global railway transportation equipment, and reached a consensus on the following cooperation between them. Both sides expressed their expectation to speed up the process to promote the diesel locomotive project off the assembly line earlier and better based on the preceding cooperation.
