CSR Obtained an Order of about 1.2 Billion RMB from Guangzhou Metro

On December 8, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. won the bidding of metro vehicles for North Extension of Guangzhou Metro Line 3 Airport Line, and obtained an order of about 1.2 billion RMB. This was the third time for the company to win the bidding of Guangzhou metro vehicles.

CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. is one of the fastest growing companies in China''s urban rail industry. In recent years, the company has not only been leading the independent innovation of Chinese high-end Model A metro vehicles, but also aiming at the personalized demand in market to actively develop the related researches on the metro vehicles of Model B and C, and the ones with the features of low-floor, Linear motor and stainless steel, etc.

The company won the contract of 120 Model B metro vehicles for Guangzhou Metro Line 3 in 2003, and the metro vehicles have created the fastest metro speed in China of 120 km/h in May 2006. In 2007, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. cooperated with Guangzhou Metro for the second time, which won the manufacturing contract of 180 Model A metro vehicles for Guangzhou Metro Line 2/8.

This type of metro is currently for trial in the company with the first vehicle expected to be completed in the first half of next year.
