CSR Listed among Valuable Enterprises of the Year

The 9^th China Annual Management Assembly 2009, jointly launched by Talents Mag., Beijing Youth Daily, Sina, CCTV Economy Channel and BTV Finance Channel, was held in Beijing on December 4, with a grand gathering of hundreds of economic elites. Enterprises like CSR were honored as Valuable Enterprises of the Year .

With the theme of creating competitive edge , this assembly aimed to exploring the traits of quality Chinese companies by unveiling Valuable Enterprises 2009 . As China s largest rail transit equipment manufacturer, CSR has turned out internationally advanced and domestically leading top products in areas like high-speed EMU, railway locomotive and metro vehicle, and served as a model of the year in valuable management for its remarkable achievements and contribution in boosting China s economy through rail transit equipment modernization.

On the scene of award presentation, Zhao Xiaogang brought a special gift -the models of high-speed EMU and large-power electrical locomotive, and through such two representative products, he interpreted the product value and corporate value perceived and practiced by CSR.

Zhao said, I would like to take this opportunity to announce a piece of good news, the high-speed EMUs at a speed of 380km per hour independently developed by CSR will roll off line next year; the total length of China s high-speed railway will amount to 13,000km by 2012 to offer a better transportation choice for the business activities of the public and all the attendees. The large-power electrical locomotive, which has a cargo capacity of 10,000t and can pull cargo vehicles with a total length of 2.5km, is the world s most powerful energy-conserving and environment-friendly locomotive.

Regarding the value fulfilled by CSR, Zhao elaborated that a valuable enterprise must have sustained competitiveness, lay equal emphasis on competitiveness and construction of innovative environment, and have a farsighted innovative strategy. CSR is not only making endeavors to reach this goal, but also will fight for it in the long run to make China a big and strong power in rail transit equipment manufacture.

Other enterprises sharing the title of Valuable Enterprises of the Year included representatives of national enterprises, multinational companies and private enterprises such as China CITIC, China Telecom, Nokia and Suning.
