The 2006 Qingdao International Regatta raised its curtain on August 20, 2006 in Qingdao, the coastal city in East China's Shandong Province. Liu Qi, president of BOCOG, declared the 2006 Qingdao International Regatta open.
Bank of China Shandong Branch, one of the hosts of the regatta, will provide comprehensive quality financial services for the sailors, officials and media during the regatta.
