September 6 - ICBC held a launch ceremony in Guangzhou to announce nationwide two sets of gold and silver medallions in five specifications to commemorate the 16th Asian Games. The two sets, "Asian Games Commemorative Gold Medallion" and "Asian Games Five Goats Commemorative Gold and Silver Medallion", are available for sale starting from September 7 at the designated ICBC outlets in most of the regions in China.
As the only banking partner of the 16th Asian Games, ICBC designed these sets of precious metal products in gold and silver medallions to commemorate the Asian Games. The medallions are in gold (Au99.99) and silver (Ag99.9) with cute and modern design, each carrying the theme of 16th Asiad - "Thrilling Games, Harmonious Asia" and conveying Asian Games spirit and sports culture - "Work Hard, Hold on, Believe in".
"Asian Games Commemorative Gold Medallion" has two specifications of 5 grams and 10 grams. The obverse of the gold medallion features ICBC LOGO, while the reverse shows the emblem of the 16th Asian Games; "Asian Games Five Goats Commemorative Gold and Silver Medallion" are in three specifications: gold medallion weighing 5 grams and 10 grams, silver medallion weighing 50 grams.
The obverse of the medallion is the Asian Games emblem and ICBC LOGO while the reverse shows the Games mascot, the five little goats of "A Xiang, A He, A Ru, A Yi and Le Yangyang", and the fine curving lines of Asian Games torch. Customers are free to buy one medallion or a combination of silver and gold medallions.
An executive with ICBC said that ICBC brand of "Ruyi Gold" represents first-class craft and best-quality ever since its launch. Asian Games commemorative gold and silver medallions launched this time hallmark this sports event of Asian Games. Each commemorative medallion is a limited edition and a treasure for collectors or gifts.
As the only official bank to sell licensed precious metals for the 16th Asian Games, ICBC also offers 10+ licensed precious metals for sale aside from the commemorative gold and silver medallion launched this time.
