2010 Shanghai Expo Forum on Environmental Protection and Urban Responsibilities Held in Nanjing

The fourth forum of 2010 Shanghai Expo, whose theme is Environmental Protection and Urban Responsibilities , was held in Nanjing. More than 600 guests from over 10 countries attended the forum and discussed how the three major bodies (namely city councils, enterprises and citizens) should respond to challenges brought about by environmental changes through joint efforts like specialization and cooperation. Other issues addressed at the forum were low carbon development and tackling climate change, industrial development and green innovation, clean energy development, sustainable architecture, sustainable ways of production and life style etc. Mr. He Jingtang, chief designer of China Pavilion of 2010 Shanghai World Expo, also an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a speech entitled A Combination of Traditional Culture and Modern Imagination at the forum on July 4, 2010.
