In accordance with the newlysigned agreements, CAE will provide consultation, assessment and intellectual support for hot and tough strategic issues concerning engineering science and technology and economic development by taking advantage of the multidisciplinary, interdepartmental and crossindustries features of CAE.

CAE also promises to provide consultation for governments at all levels in Xinjiang, institutions of higher learning, research institutes, innovation platform and the innovation union for integration of Enterprises, Universities and Research Institutes when requested, helping Xinjiang to recruit and train a team of highlevel personnel who can play leading roles in the future, so as to accelerate the promotion of the scientific and technological innovation.

The agreements also stated that both sides would make joint efforts to make Academician Activity Center a better place, and CAE should provide policy guidance and support for openstyle Academician Working Stations built in hightech parks, hightech enterprises or major scientific and technological platforms.

Both sides will also strive to conduct more studies into cooperation and accelerate the transformation of S&T achievements, according to the demands of the regional and industrial developments, aiming at carrying out a major national S&T project in Xinjiang or a major national S&T platform building project.
