Honorary Chairman Song Jian Met with Dr. Oleksandr Sandro Love, President of Baumann University, Russia

On September 28, 2010, Honorary Chairman Song Jian met with a delegation from Baumann University ( . . . ) led by President Oleksandr Sandro Love ( ). Both sides exchanged views on how to further deepen the Sino-Russia scientific and technological cooperation extensively and profoundly.

Chairman Song, first of all, congratulated Dr. Oleksandr Sandro Love on becoming the President of Baumann University, who also affectionately recalled the time when he was selected to be studying there years ago. Afterwards, Song gave a briefing on the progress in terms of bilateral scientific and technological cooperation between China and Russia, esp. in space science & technology, since China s adopting the Reform and Opening-up policy, who also pointed out that China still has a long way to go and a lot to learn from Russia in the fields of space science & technology. Song claimed that the overall enhancement of a friendly and cooperative relationship between China and Russia will bring new opportunities for more scientific and technological cooperation in the future. President Oleksandr Sandro Love expressed his consent as to what Song said, who also expressed his encouragement for professors, scholars, students from Chinese research institutes as well as institutions of higher learning to carry out more scientific and technological cooperation and communication with their Russian counterparts. President Oleksandr Sandro Love suggested that both countries should set up a common fund, dedicated to the bilateral cooperation in science and technology, esp. in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
