p>Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical is slated to process 1.12-mil mt of crude oil in October, down 90,000mt or 7% from the previous month, a refinery source said.
The refinery plans to shut some units for 40-day maintenance from mid-October, mainly including 2.5-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit, 1-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker and 1-mil-mt/yr delayed coker, the source revealed.
Maoming Petrochemical, located in Maoming City of South China's Guangdong Province, has a crude processing capacity of 13.5-mil mt per year. It mainly processes sour crude oil from the Middle East and supplies its oil products to South and Southwest China.
