p>Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical is estimated to lower LPG commodity output by about 200mt or 13% to 1,350mt per day, after it shut some units for 30-40-day maintenance from Oct 10, a refinery source said.

The units mainly include a 2.5-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit and a 1-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker, according to the source.

The small decrease would somewhat lend support to local LPG market in the near term, as the north-south arbitrage window was closed and Hainan refinery was yet to resume normal barge supply, market sources pointed out.

Maoming Petrochemical, located in Maoming City of South China's Guangdong Province, has an annual crude throughput capacity of 13.5-mil mt. It is capable of producing 1-mil mt of ethylene per year.
