Asia: Saudi Aramco raises Jan CP for propane while reducing butane

Saudi Aramco released January CP Wednesday, increasing US$30/mt to US$935/mt for propane while down US$25/mt to US$920/mt for butane.

The rise in propane CP was basically within expectation because demand picked up amid falling temperatures in north hemisphere, market sources said. In addition, spiraling international crude prices lent support to LPG market, according to the source.

However, January CP for butane was slightly lower than expected probably due to resumed supply from Saudi Arabia and flat demand, the sources reckoned.
