Each silver jewelry on display symbolizes the splendid culture of the Miao Ethnic Group.

The opening reception of "Beauty of Silver Jewelry - Hunan, Guangxi, Guizhou Miao Silver Ornaments Exhibition" was held on the third floor of the new exhibition building of Hunan Provincial Museum on the evening of March 28, 2011. Jointly organized by Hunan Provincial Museum, Guangxi Museum of Ethnic Groups and Guizhou Cultural Palace of Ethnic Groups, this exhibition will give a display of the splendid culture of the Miao Ethnic Group.

More than 400 articles of exquisite Miao silver head ornaments, pedants and bracelets, brooches, accessories and tools will be exhibited in six booths separately. The dazzling, snowy and ding dong exhibits conjure up charming girls of Miao Ethnic Group who wear such silver ornaments. In addition, some prestigious experts in history, culture and customs of the Miao Ethnic Group will be invited to give a series of lectures to Changsha locals on the splendid culture of the ethnic minority.
