Changsha Pilot Rural Commercial Bank Goes Public

The Changsha Pilot Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd., as the first of its kind approved to be established, officially went public on Nov. 12. Deputy Mayor of Changsha Xie Jianhui and Deputy Director of the Changsha Municipal People's Congress attended the opening ceremony.
The bank, approved by China Banking Regulatory Commission this October, is a local shareholding financial institution restructured from the original Yuelu Rural Cooperative Bank of Changsha City. Its 24 outlets cover the urban and rural areas of West Changsha Pioneering District.
According to Xie Jianhui, the establishment of rural commercial bank is a step to combine the construction of "Two-oriented Society" and the reform of rural financial system in Changsha. It is hoped that the bank will better serve the pilot district, small and medium-sized enterprises, and agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and contribute to the rural and urban development and Two-oriented Society construction with first-class services.
