On Jan. 6, 2011, CSR Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd, China's largest electrical transmission system supplier, signed a joint-venture agreement with SG (Shuguang) Automotive Group Co., Ltd, the largest city bus supplier of China.
The two leading enterprises in the new-energy bus industry will enjoy mutual benefits based on their complementary advantages. According to the agreement, the two partners will integrate and share resources in terms of technology, manufacturing techniques, market network, etc.
After cooperation, Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd will serve as the R & D and manufacturing base of new-energy automobiles to enhance technology of finished vehicles, and integrate the existing core advantages of new-energy system in a bid to forge it into a "carrier" of China's new-energy buses.
The electric vehicles of CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd will tap into the national market via this cooperation. The annual sales revenue is expected to hit 5 billion yuan by 2015, making the company the leading force among energy-saving and new-energy vehicles across the country.
