People witnessed the elevation of Gannan navel orange from its "first auction" on the Come to World's Capital of Orange, Feel Charming Ganzhou -- Social Gathering of Diplomats and Friends Home and Abroad in Beijing International Hotel on the evening of January 17.
From 19:15--19:25, 5kg Gannan Newhall navel oranges were sold at 6000 yuan from the bottom price of 200 yuan. 5kg Gannan Cara Cara navel oranges were dealt at 8000 yuan from the floor price of 600 yuan. 5kg Gannan Skiranui navel oranges were sold at 15800 yuan from the base price of 800 yuan. Only in ten minutes, merchants at present were astonished at each 5kg as the auctioneer's hammer fell.
It was the first time for Gannan navel orange to go onto an auction table. The auction was held to let merchants home and abroad test the market value of Gannan navel orange.
