Ex-situ Modification of Ganzhou Cigarette Factory Starts

The ex-situ technical modification of Ganzhou Cigarette Factory started in Hong Kong Industrial Park of Ganzhou Development Zone on the morning of April 1. The project takes a total investment of about RMB 2.2 billion and is expected to realize annual capacity of 600,000 boxes of cigarettes.

According to the plan, an automatic, modernized and intellectualized garden-like factory will be built up to cover 730 mu by the end of 2013.

Jiang Chengkang, general director of China Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, Li Keming, deputy director of China Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, Zhang Yuxia, chief accountant of China Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, Shi Wenqing, vice governor of Jiangxi and Party secretary of CPC Ganzhou Municipal Committee, Xie Bilian, director of Jiangxi Provincial Industry and Information Commission, and Ganzhou mayor Wang Ping attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Hu Shizhong, deputy secretary-general of Jiangxi Province, chaired the ceremony.

Zheng Wei, general manager of China Tobacco Jiangxi Industrial LLC, introduced the project.

Ganzhou leaders Wan Ming and Liu Cong, etc. were present at the ceremony.
