Electric multiple unit or EMU trains will begin trial operations on the Xiamen-Fuzhou high-speed railway on April 1, according to local railway officials. The top speed of the passenger train on the Xiamen-Fuzhou railway is expected to reach 250 kilometers per hour, cutting travel time between the two cities to two hours.
