Authorized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the nation's first price index platform was launched in Guangdong on June 17. The platform will release price indexes collected from seven categories, including fruit and vegetable prices at Jiangnan fruit and vegetable wholesale market, and at the Guangdong South China Food Transaction center. This platform is expected to influence benchmark prices nationwide, maybe even abroad.
