The two-day 6th Economic and Technological Cooperation Fair for the Pearl River Delta Region, Mountainous Areas, and Eastern and Western Regions of Guangdong opened yesterday in Shantou City, which was of the largest scale ever in its history. Provincial Party Secretary Wang Yang and Governor Huang Huahua attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition hall. During the fair, 627 co-operation programmes have been signed, involving a total sum of 151.26 billion yuan, 20.9% up than that at the previous fair.
Zhongshan-based enterprises signed 11 programmes, totaling a sum of 1.647 billion yuan. The programmes center on manufacturing, 4 of which top 100 million yuan. Zhongshan enterprises feature new energy and new light source technology and their low-carbon products are highly acclaimed.
