Anhui province will get a loan of 50 billion yuan ($7.4 billion) from the China Development Bank(CDB) for its transportation development during the 12th Five-Year Period, according to a cooperation agreement signed recently.
Among the total loan, 35 billion yuan will be granted to expressway construction, 10 billion to national and provincial highway renovation and the rest to the water transport sector.
The CDB has cooperated with the transport department of Anhui since 1998. Up to late August, it has lent a total of 29.6 billion yuan to finance transportation in the province.
