Zhejiang Acrobatics General Troupe to give performance in Sweden

A group of nine people from Zhejiang Folk Art & Acrobatics General Troupe Co. Ltd., at the invitation of the Swiss National Circus Knie and sent by China Performing Arts Agency set off on March 17^th to Sweden for an eight-month commercial performance. They will perform Head Balancing there and this is their second trip to Swiss after 2006.

The performance Head Balancing , staged by Sun Xizhong and other performers, won the top award--Presidential Award of the Republic of France and the Golden Award at the 17^thInternational Circus Festival of Massy, France in February, 2009 and the Golden Award at the 4^th International Circus Festival in Russia in September of the same year. The performance also received a Guinness World Record certificate from the Guinness World Record Global Headquarters in London. In November, 2008, it won the Wen Hua Bronze Medal for Creation at the 7^th China National Acrobatic Festival. The program Head Balancing attracted attention from all over the world and was also made into a feature program and broadcast by British Royal TV Station and Japan Fuji Television Network Inc. respectively.
