S. dollars, up 65.6% compared with the same period of the last year.
The European Union is Jiaxing s first biggest trade partner. During the first five months, the bilateral trade amounted to 1,777,000,000 U. S. dollars, up 33.7% compared with the same period of the last year. And the volume of foreign trade with USA increased by 27.5% compared with the same period of the last year.
Viewed from product mix, the export of electronic products recovered more quickly than that of traditional commodities in large amounts. During this period, the export volume of clothing and clothing accessories was 1,114,000,000 U. S. dollars, growing only by 6% while the export value of electronic products reached 1,657,000,000 U.

During the first five months, the total value of export and import of self-supported enterprises was 3,754,000,000 U. S. dollars, growing by 44.8% compared with the same period of the last year, 5.8 percentage point higher than the growth rate of the value of export and import in foreign investment enterprises.
