The 2010 China Hangzhou International Conference on Educational Innovation (Wenhui Forum) opened on the morning of November 18. Chen Xiaoya, vice minister of the Ministry of Education, officials of other departments concerned, and officials of UNESCO Asia-Pacific regional bureau attended the opening ceremony.
The theme of the conference is Promoting educational fairness and optimal development through innovation . 6 symposia will be held, including one on quality control of international elementary education and one on quality control and evaluation system of regional education.
During the conference, the first UNESCO-APEID Wenhui Award for Educational Innovation will be announced. 5 institutions and individuals out of the 34 candidates from the Asia-Pacific region will be presented the award.
