On November 21, the Forum on the Construction and Innovation of An Eco-friendly Province and Beautiful Urban Areas was held in Xihu District. In-depth exploration was carried out on this theme by scholars from the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Chinese Academy of Governance, as well as officials from relevant departments of the central and provincial government.
The Fifth Plenum of the 17th CPC Central Committee called for the promotion of ecological civilization. At this forum, experts present discussed about how to integrate ecological civilization and urban construction with urbanization by analyzing the successful practice in building an ideal place in Xihu District and co-establishing the most beautiful urban area in China.
Theoretical research findings and practical experience of Xihu District were of great value for the construction of ecological civilization, the innovation of urban area management and the shift of development modes in various localities in Zhejiang Province.
