At 7:30 p.m. of November 22, the 4th Zhejiang Traditional Ethnic Minorities Sports Games opened in Lishui. From November 22 to November 26, 12 delegations from 11 cities and Jingning She Minority Autonomous County, and over 450 athletes of 25 minorities attend the sports meeting. Vice-governor Mr. Gong Zheng announced the opening of the sports meeting.
Participating athletes will compete in such competitive events and demonstration sports as pearl-ball, kick-ball, cross-bow, top-spinning, tug-of-war, martial arts, stilt race and board shoe race, etc., all of which originate from production and customs of ethnic minorities both for entertainment and enjoyment.
