The 3rd West Lake Clean Government Forum and Power Restriction and Supervision Seminar started in Hangzhou on Nov. 18. Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, visited some of the participants.
After an introduction of the social and economic development of Zhejiang and its basic situations in fighting corruption and building a clean government, provincial officials pointed out that the social and economic development could not take place without the strong safeguard of work in fighting corruption and building a clean government.
Under the leadership of officials from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC and the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Zhejiang adheres to the strategy of addressing both the symptoms and root cause, comprehensive treatment, and combining punishment and prevention, with emphasis on the latter.
It aims to strengthen the construction of a clean government, with the focus on the perfection of the punishment and prevention system with Zhejiang characteristics.
Experts and scholars from institutions of higher learning such as Peking University and some research institutions held intensive discussions on topics such as how to make power execution public and transparent.
