Vice Governor Gong Zheng met with Sir Kenneth Hall, former Governor General of Jamaica, and his wife in Hangzhou on Nov. 16.
Mr. Gong extended warm welcome to the visit of the guests and briefed them on the social and economic development of Zhejiang Province. Mr. Gong said that with a good momentum of cooperation between Zhejiang and Jamaica, the cooperation has achieved positive results with frequent contacts between the two parties and increasingly broader cooperation scope, especially since the establishment of friendly relations between Zhejiang and St. James Parish of Jamaica in 2000. Mr. Gong wished that the visit of the guests would improve their understanding of Zhejiang Province and promote cooperation and exchanges in a broader scope and at a higher level.
