We win again! Good news came in from America to Yueqing, Wenzhou on December 1. United States District Court for the District of New Mexico reached a verdict, demanding that Leviton of America withdraw the complaint and terminate the Section 337 investigation (patent infringement investigations) against General Protecht Group Inc. conducted by the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). That means General Protecht Group Inc. (GPG) has had five consecutive wins on intellectual property lawsuits in America in six years.
GPG is a private electric appliances enterprise based in Yueqing, Wenzhou. Six years ago, the company started to sell their products to America, and was immediately repelled by its American counterparts. Leviton and Pass & Seymour altogether filed four Section 337 investigations against GPG.
