It was learned from the Hangzhou Customs that Zhejiang s individually-run enterprises had swiftly recovered from the financial crisis and this year s import and export volume exceeded US$100 billion for the first time. Accounting for 52.8% of the total import and export volume of the province, the import and export volume of the provincial individually-run enterprises totaled US$108.73 billion for the first 10 months, with a year-on-year growth of 43% and 7.9 percentage points more than the average increase rate of the province.
During the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period, the average annual increase of the import and export volume of the provincial individually-run enterprises reached 22.4%, 7.4 percentage points more than that of the whole province. The foreign trade proportion of the individually-run enterprises has surpassed that of the foreign-funded enterprises and the individually-run enterprises have become Zhejiang s No.1 business entity of foreign trade.
