The preparatory meeting for the 15th Investment & Trade Forum for Cooperation between East & West China and the promotion conference on west development projects were held in Hangzhou on November 30. Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province Wang Jianman and Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province Jing Junhai attended the meeting.
The 15th Investment & Trade Forum for Cooperation between East & West China is to be held in Xi an in April, 2011. Activities launched in this Forum will include the 2nd High-level Forum for Cooperation between East & West, an inter-provincial economic cooperation & exchange conference, the 10th West China International Economic Cooperation Fair, as well as a number of investment and trade promotion activities launched primarily for the purpose of project matching.
The annual Investment & Trade Forum for Cooperation between East & West China is an important platform for Zhejiang to engage in the development campaign of the western regions and enhance inter-provincial cooperation and exchange. Zhejiang has been sending delegations to this Forum for 8 years in a row since 2003, signing a total of 316 cooperation projects at a contract sum of 37.65 billion RMB.
