Haitian Island, the Hangzhou Bay Bridge Sightseeing Platform, was open to public for test operation on December 19th.
It is learned that the platform has a gross floor area of 41700 square meters, with 12000 square meters on the sea. The platform consists of two components, the 6-storey main platform, 24 meters high, and the 16-storey sightseeing tower, 145.6 meters high. After 3 years of construction, Haitian Island has become a comprehensive tourist project including the exhibition hall for the bridge construction, the Yangtze River Delta main tourist shopping center, fine hotels, and services for sightseeing and tourism, and business conferences.
