Zhejiang province signed the Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. on the morning of December 14th. Lu Zushan, Governor and Vice Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Michael Evans, Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. attended the signing ceremony.
According to the Memorandum, as a leading financial institute in the world, Goldman Sachs Group Inc, is to play an active part in the development of ocean economy and the construction of financial platforms in Zhejiang province and to assist in such areas as major commodity trading, new marine industries, clean energy industries, island exploration, marine development fund and the management of fund companies.
Meanwhile, it will also take an active part in the investment, and financing of the Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan in the international capital markets and aid its future development. The two sides agreed to have further cooperation in terms of bank management, risk prevention and control as well as listing and financing through such financial platform as China Zheshang Bank Co., Ltd.
