The first Wanqiang Farm Cup Lu Xun Essay Competition revealed its winners recently. Altogether 14 writers were awarded at the award ceremony held in Shaoxing City. Meanwhile, over a hundred renowned essay writers as well as chairpersons of essay societies from all over the country took part in the Annual National Essay Societies Fellowship Convention in the hometown of Lu Xun.
As one of the sponsors of this event, Zhejiang Essay Society has made much progress in increasing the amount of essay writing and organizing relevant activities and events in recent years. Talk by the Qiangtang River, a collection of the finest essays written by Zhejiang essayists, which was edited and published by Zhejiang Essay Society in 2009, has also received much critical acclaim.
