The inaugural ceremony of the first batch of All-in-One Medical Insurance Cards in some trial cities of our province was held in Hangzhou on 28, December.
This year, while working on the All-in-One Card, our Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security at the same time has been quickening the construction of the e-settlement platform for treatment from allopatry, focusing on alleviating the difficulty of receiving treatment allopatry for the insured, and pushing forward the construction of basic medical insurance system. So far, more than 3.7 million standardized social security cards have replaced the old ones. After the coming New Year s Day, the insured citizens at provincial level as well as those from the first batch of four trial cities Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Jiaxing and Quzhou will be able to receive medical treatment in the first batch of designated 18 hospitals such as Second Affiliated Hospital to Zhejiang University without advance payment. They only need to pay what they should pay for the medical expenses, unlike before when they have to pay all the expenses and then get reimbursed later from where they live.
