From December 30 to January 5 of the next year, the public can log onto the website http://www.zjmz.gov.cn/vote and cast their votes. There will be two changes of this year s award. One is that a new award for the volunteering services will be added to commend the individuals and the institutions who have long been providing charity volunteer services with magnificent social effects and have made great achievements. The other is the modification of the standard to select the individuals and the institutions for the award. In the selection for the first two awards, the value of donation was taken as the standard. This year a new standard is set up to give due consideration to those individuals or institutions whose amount of donation is small but takes up much of their income or earnings. The new standard is whether the individuals or the institutions have donated their own income or earnings for a long time; whether their deeds are of magnificent social effects, though the amount of their donation is small; or whether they have made great achievements.
