At noon of December 27, Gong Zheng, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province met Dr. Wolfgang R hr, Consul General of Germany in Shanghai, and his party in Hangzhou. It was the first time that Dr. Wolfgang R hr had visited our province since he took the post.
Gong Zheng extended a sincere welcome to the visitors and introduced to them the latest economic and social development in Zhejiang and how Zhejiang coped with the impact of the international financial crisis. He said that the friendship between Germany and China had been well established and of long standing.
In recent years, remarkable success has been achieved through the cooperation between our province and Germany, esp. Schleswig-Holstein, in economy and trade, science and technology, culture and tourism. He expressed hope for a deeper understanding of Zhejiang, further cooperation in marine economy and new energy and the enhancement of the friendship between the people of the two places after Dr.
Wolfgang R hr s visit to our province.
