On the eve of 26, December 2010, the Happiest Cities in China were declared. Hangzhou won China s Happiest City again, as well as a highest honor Special Award of Contribution to People s Livelihood.
It is reported that 10 cities including Hangzhou, Chengdu, Changsha and 10 county-level cities such as Jiangyin, Yixing, Changsha County have been selected as 2010 China s Happiest Cities.
Whether in a developed or developing city, if an urbanized and people-oriented management system is adopted, it will surely bring happiness to its citizens , remarked an official with Oriental Outlook Weekly. The theme of this year is Create Happiness, Enjoy Esteem . The evaluation criteria included more than 20 aspects such as human touch, transportation, medical service. More than 120 cities took part in this selection.
