The second Chinese New Year Special Purchases Festival was opened on Jan. 9 in Hangzhou Farm and Sideline Products Logistics Center. Xu Hongjun, Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony.
The festival will last 10 days. On the occasion, people can find special purchases for Chinese New Year, especially those from Taiwan, Shanxi, Xinjiang, Tibet, etc., taste the delicious food made onsite, watch the dragon-lion dance, singing and dancing shows, acrobatics, etc. and appreciate the huge rabbit-shaped model made up by 2011 dendrobium officinale bonsais. Moreover, they will receive Spring Festival couplets with the Chinese words for blessing by famous calligraphers for free. All this will help visitors enjoy a strong flavor of traditional Chinese New Year.
