On the afternoon of January 6, Zhao Yide, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor of Wenzhou, met the delegation led by Jody William Kanai Si , the first deputy mayor of Barcelona, Spain, and signed an agreement on establishing friendly exchange relationship between Wenzhou and Barcelona.
There is a long history of friendly exchanges between Wenzhou and Barcelona, Spain. Wenzhou businessmen living in Barcelona served as a bridge between two cities. With their help, Wenzhou and Barcelona signed an agreement on trade and economic exchanges and cooperation last year. To further enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation, Kanai Si and his party took an official visit to Wenzhou to inspect Wenzhou city planning, port construction, high-tech enterprise development and so on, and also to hold promotion conference on Barcelona investment, technology parks and tourism.
