On the morning of Jan. 12, Lv Zushan, Vice-secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Zhejiang Province, met with the delegation led by Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar.
Lv Zushan said that Taizhou Integrated Refinery & Petrochemicals Project is a significant means of ensuring energy supply, developing marine economy and accelerating the transformation of development mode during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, and also the important witness of friendship and cooperation between China and Qatar. He added that great efforts will be made to further push forward the implementation of this project, and Abdullah s visit will be of much significance to promote the project with help from related state departments.
It is reported that Taizhou Integrated Refinery & Petrochemicals Project mainly consists of oil refining, chemical engineering and utility support system. The whole project is jointly invested by PetroChina Company Limited, Qatar General Petroleum Corporation, and Royal Dutch Shell with the total investment reaching approximately 80 billion yuan.
