Non-state-owned enterprises in Zhejiang are running well. In 2010, profits of the 62,793 non-state-owned enterprises totaled 287.66 billion yuan, an increase of 47.2% over the previous year, the greatest contribution being made by private enterprises, with total profits of 109.04 billion yuan, an increase of 54.2%. Profits of foreign-invested enterprises and enterprises with investment from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan were 51.96 billion yuan and 42.47 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 49.6% and 59.2%.
